Reports To Head of Event Sales

Hours of Work - Mon to Fri (9am-5.30pm - normal working hours, this may vary) 


Team Overview

The Event Sales team create memorable events for large groups including corporate

customers, schools, youth organisations, and others. The team both receive incoming

requests and proactively generates leads, creating tailored adventures (including working

with 3rd party suppliers if required), ensuring that our customers receive an amazing

experience at each stage of their Go Ape adventure.


Role Profile

The inbound events sales executive will be outgoing and passionate about creating

memorable events for our customers. You will be naturally inquisitive, able to investigate a

customer’s needs and work with them to find the best solution.

This role requires someone who is both customer and process-oriented with attention to

detail. Go Ape gets a large amount of inbound interest so prioritisation, organisation, and

stamina are keys to success.


Working closely and in partnership with the Events Administrator and where

applicable the Corporate and Education Events Executive.


Job Specification

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


• Dealing with inbound telephone calls maximising sales for groups, schools and corporate events across the Go Ape sites.

• By delivering excellent customer service you will expect to achieve sales and performance targets

• Using a consultative sales approach to identify suitable products and services to meet customer needs

• Listening and understanding our customers to ensure we deliver a tailored solution

• Present to customers in a creative way to inspire and motivate them to select us to deliver their event/s Reactively manage inbound phone and online enquiries when required.

Revenue and KPI’s

• Ensure sales targets (individual, product, sites and team) are achieved on a monthly basis including the financial year end period.

• Review your own sales performance and forecast with a view to meet and exceed targets.

• Ensure expected telephone call rates are achieved consistently,



• Produce suitable proposals and quotes for all inbound enquiries

• Manage all customer content and the sales process through our internal CRM system, including lead sources, contact notes and future actions

• Work closely with the team to efficiently and professionally execute each event.

• Discounts to be applied when applicable following company discount procedures


Commercial Awareness

• Know your products, sites and make it your business to be aware of competitors and developments within the industry.

• Attend research trips to develop knowledge of sites, venues and activities and develop relationships with sites and suppliers

• Gather competitor and market sector information where appropriate and share with appropriate departments.

• Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues

The suitable candidate will have:

• You will need to be able to evidence 100% commitment to the role

• Experience of achieving sales targets in a sales role

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Can demonstrate a persuasive demeanour

• Proven experience in a customer focused/driven environment
